The 20 øre blue was, as mentioned earlier, mainly produced to be for international letters having a weight upto15 gram. Besides this, the stamp was used for various mailing purposes inside Denmark.
The first 20 øre blue arms type stamps were delivered from the Theile company in 1882. In total 3 printings of the 20 øre blue was produced on the basis of the clichés from Lauter.

The weight was more than 15 gram and the receiver had paid the double amount
of the missing payment equals to 13 kopek.
With 100 stamps in each sheet there are in total produced approx. 3.3 million 20 øre stamps in the first issue with “small corner numerals”.
